about

Situationism celebrates it’s milestone 50th release with an extra special album - the reissue of UK deep house stalwarts BRS (British Rhythm Services) album ‘Gravity’.
Originally released 19 years ago in 2002 on Paris based label Cyclo records.
Now on Situationism it has been lovingly remastered by Bambu Music (Toni Economides/Clinton McCreery)

BRS back then consisted of Mr Mulatto, Ben Vacara & Rob Evans – which in this concept album found them experimenting and collaborating with various vocalists and musicians to expand their repertoire past the deep house sound that they had already established.

Not to say the album doesn’t contain some proper deep house tracks of the time like Filter Fight, Saluet, Gravity, Computer Dave V Jazzy Fingers, Icey & Close to Me(Previously only available on Vinyl) – but you have tracks such as Spooky, Ms. Honey & Where Are You, which play with a more breakbeat/hip hop groove, then the title track Gravity which is more of a slowed down vocal, deep house number along with Make me Believe in You which is a house dub interpretation of the 1974 classic by Curtis Mayfield track.
